Savings Accounts (Share Accounts)
The first step to joining West Financial Credit Union is to open an individual or joint savings account with a $25 deposit. This deposit represents one share in the credit union. It gives you the priviledge of voting for your board of directors and using the wide variety of services offered. Deposits may be made at anytime – in person, by mail, or through direct deposit/payroll deduction. Withdrawals may also be made at anytime on available funds. You can also conveniently access your share account with you West Financial cash/debit card. Dividends are calculated on the average daily balance and paid quarterly. See rates for current APR/APY.
WINcentive™ Savings is a savings account that offers you the chance to win cash prizes from a state-wide drawing, as well as a WFCU member only drawing. WINcentive Savings offers prize drawing entries in return for each time you increase your month-over-month savings balance by $25 (up to 4 entries per month)*. Prize drawings occur monthly, quarterly and annually – so the more you save, the more chances you have to win! You could even end up winning the grand prize of $5,000!
If saving money is a challenge, and you are struggling to save, consider the WINcentive Savings account. You can improve your money habits in a whole new way that actually makes saving FUN. You’ll feel rewarded by watching your savings grow, and experience the excitement of the prize drawings! And unlike playing the lottery, you don’t lose anything with WINcentive Savings.
